Who needs a game console when you've got a garage and 26,000 Christmas lights?

Ric Turner wins the prize on his street for sure, once again building a game out of the 26,000-odd bulbs he's strung around his house and front lawn. He first came to fame last year for creating a Christmas light Guitar Hero game.

This year he's come up with Snowball Blaster. Players sit in a well-lit motorised training sled in the middle of the driveway and dodge snowballs illuminated by LED lights on the garage door. As the video shows, he's got game instructions, music and lights playing through outdoor speakers. He's also broadcasting on FM so people in their cars can listen in. Turner, a former special effects programmer at Disney Imagineering, lives in Burbank, California. Stop by, he's obviously got very patient neighbours.
