King of Clubs: Cheat Butt don’t get caught

AS Tiger Woods, Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif found out, cheating is not tolerated in sports. If I had a penny for every time a professional sports player was caught, or was accused of cheating, then I’d be a very wealthy man. The question arises after all these scandals though; does the illegal use of performance enhancing supplements justify the resignation of these athletes?
I think not!

We all make mistakes in life like forgetting people’s names, taking bribes to perform better (or in the case of the Pakistani bowlers to perform worse) or even to cheat on our spouses but at the end of the day what should be judged is the level of damage these mistakes have on sport.

Following a series of leaks in the Japanese gaming press, Square Enix has confirmed Final Fantasy XIII will finally release on the Xbox 360 in Japan this winter. Previously, only the PlayStation 3 version of the game had been available in the territory.

Asked why there had been such a delay in bringing the Xbox 360 version of the game to Japan, producer Yoshinori Kitase said: “We feel that there are…a lot of people in Japan who own nothing but 360s. Thanks to the new [Slim] system and such, the situation’s a lot different than it was in July 2008.”

Dubbed Final Fantasy XIII Ultimate Hits Edition, the title will be available from December 16 for the budget price of ¥4,980, ($60) according to the latest issue of Famitsu.

The release will be the first Xbox 360 title in Square’s Ultimate Hits budget line and will feature an easy mode, a post-completion quest titled ‘Episode I’, the English voice-acting from the western release and portions of the reportedly large amount of content that was cut from the original release.

The game’s director, Motomu Toriyama, also told Famitsu that plans for Final Fantasy XIII downloadable content had been scrapped following the game's original release. He had previously advised players to “hold on to their saves from the end of the game” but in this week’s interview said: “that plan [for DLC] wound up not happening.”

How Apple could undermine console gaming with TV app games

Just look at what the iPhone did to Nokia and Motorola, two leaders of the cell phone business who are now trying to chase Apple.

What would happen if Jobs turned his eye to console gaming? More disruption, most likely. Apple has already disrupted portable gaming on the Nintendo DS and the Sony PlayStation Portable. The iPhone and iPod Touch have hurt those businesses in the past few years because they offer thousands of free games and many 99 cent titles that have grabbed the attention of gamers and non-gamers alike. Both Nintendo and Sony dismissed the casual apps as snacks compared to their full-course meals for gamers. But gamers have been filling up on those snacks. They are consuming apps by the billions. Among the 276,985 apps on the App Store, 46,591 are games, according to Mobclix. If each of those games has, say, an hour of content, together they could keep a user busy gaming 24 hours a day for 5.3 years.

Games Cheat

Games Cheat when I was in high school, I played video games every time and it kind of addicting. Each time I won the game against my computer or human opponent feels like very satisfying. But not all the time it,s a win-win situation because the application of game cheats those days is not yet accessible.

I envy the younger generation now (though I'm not that old) who have the opportunity to make use of game cheats in their consoles or in the game they are playing because they frequently triumph against their challengers. The other good thing is that game cheats are not illegal. Game cheats just added more fun in playing video or computer games these days.

However, not all people agree in the application of game cheats. They are saying that cheating is dreadful trait and should not be tolerated even in playing video games. But do you know that the make of the games themselves are the ones publishing those game cheats? This is for the reason that they discern that not all PS2 gamers have all their time in gaming.

Some wanted to jump up to other levels as quick as possible. This is where game cheats are helpful because they are giving gamers more time for other things aside from having fun in video games. Moreover, games cheat is not really that bad, its objective is only just for pure enjoyment.

Just like me, I am a busy body right now but I still wanted to be updated with video games. So I use game cheats whenever I occupy myself with video games. Game cheats has made my gaming life simpler and I am always ready to give another new game a try due to the fact that I already finished other games through games cheat application.

Would it be sad to admit I was excited when our Move feature was pimped on the official True Blood twitter account? If so, chain me to the sad pole, because that was awesome. We went toe-to-toe with Sony's PlayStation Move for a week, and liked what we saw. Microsoft announced the price for Xbox Live was going less than the price of a cup of coffee a month, and the rage was intense.

There will also be a new official Xbox 360 controller, but right now we don't know if it will be better... or just different. This is what gamers were talking about this week.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

Earlier this week, London's gaming elite were treated to the midnight launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, the latest venture from World of Warcraft developers – and social-life obliterators – Blizzard Entertainment. After an extended hiatus from the StarCraft series, unsurprising given Blizzard's reputation for slippery release dates (don't even bother asking about Diablo III), SII:

WoL picks up from its futuristic real-time strategy predecessor with the same three life-forms: the renegade human "Terrans", the intelligent psychic "Protoss" species, and the grotesque insectoid "Zerg", still battling for ascendancy in StarCraft's far-off galaxy.

For the uninitiated, starting the series from scratch would provide useful context, but mercifully (given the magnitude of the task) this is largely unnecessary as the sequel offers a gentle learning curve and introduction to the story. SII:WoL's innovations are mostly seen in its presentation, with movie-quality cut scenes and smooth in-game rendering; however the most significant change is in the Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) element. Be warned though:

Game consoles aren't the future

BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk had some rather interesting things to say this week about the future of the gaming business. Zeschuk, whose company has created major console hits like Mass Effect 2, said that going forward, the video game industry won't rely so heavily on the console market. In fact, he believes consoles could be a relic of the past as more players turn to portable devices to get their game on.

"The future isn't necessarily on console," Zeschuk said at the Develop Conference, an event for European game developers. "That's the past. It's going to be a strong thing going forward, but the future is in all of these new businesses that are starting up."
